In the Wildcat’s first PAWDcast of 2025-2026, Violet Owens (’26), Kaleb Abey (’27), and Naylea Hernandez (’28) discuss the evolution of fashion trends post-COVID-19 pandemic, in particular the shift towards more comfortable clothing, such as pajamas, sweats, and Uggs. The trio also cover the cyclical nature of fashion, with the resurgence of ’90s and 2000s styles; the economics of clothing, including brand loyalty versus value shopping; and the development of personal style throughout their high school years.

Kaleb Abey (‘27) is eager to contribute to the Wildcat during his first year as a sports writer and podcaster. Outside of the newsroom, Kaleb can be found at basketball, cross country, or track practice. He enjoys hanging out with friends, going to church with his family every weekend, and watching the TV show Friends. Although school keeps him busy, Kaleb always makes time to visit his favorite spot, Laguna Beach, while blasting his favorite music on the nearest speaker. After graduation, Kaleb plans to pursue a career in real estate, but for now, he plans to continue making memories with his closest friends at school events and illuminate his writing skills in newspaper.
