Meet the Women Ready to Steal Matt James’s Heart
Week two of season 25 of The Bachelor ended with a cliffhanger as front-runner Sarah appeared to be on the verge of passing out during the evening’s Rose Ceremony, so who gets sent home next, and who will find love with Matt James, is anyone’s guess. But with 24 women still vying for James’s heart, Wildcat Trends Editors Katie Kudron and Melea Altermatt dole out some early season awards.
First Impression Rose: Abigail
Abigail, 25, a client financial manager from Oregon, and the show’s first deaf contestant, immediately won over James with her vulnerability, something very important to this season’s bachelor. The conversation the two shared about Abigail’s hearing loss led to Abigail getting not only the First Impression Rose, but also the first kiss. Katie and Melea agree with Matt James’s decision and would also have awarded Abigail the important first rose.
Biggest Personality: Tie: Katie and Victoria
Katie, a 29-year-old bank marketing manager from Washington, walked in and made James laugh right off the bat with her limo entrance. She was bold, and succeeded in keeping the energy high on night one.
Victoria, 27, from LA, was carried grandiosely on a litter by a team of men to meet James as any queen would be. Given that her job title was listed as “queen,” she certainly lived up to the royal expectations with the outward confidence.
Most Likely to Become a Celebrity After the Show: Kit
Kit, a 21-year-old fashion entrepreneur from NYC, rolled up in a luxurious Bentley and was dressed to impress for James in a feathered ombre mini dress designed by her famous fashion designer mother, Cynthia Rowley. Kit was ritzy and poised and destined for future celebrity status.
Most Likely to Host their own Reality TV Show: Anna
Anna, 24, is a copywriter living in Chicago. Anna is very outgoing and bubbly, perfect for hosting a reality TV show. Upon arrival, she enthusiastically gifted James a bachelor “survival kit,” complete with a red flag to give to the other girls. She has a great personality and seems likable, engaging, and fun to be around.
Best Entrance: Tie: Pieper and Kaili
Pieper, a 23-year-old grad student from Happy Valley, Oregon, shared how truly happy she was to be meeting James, as her dad always wished that she would keep her last name, also James, when married. If she and James ended up together, her father’s wish would come true.
Kaili, a 26-year-old hostess from Chicago, shocked the audience, arriving in lingerie, with dress options to let James pick what he liked best. While most arrive dressed and ready to go, her unusual entrance was not forgotten. This entrance was definitely a creative and unique way to ensure James would remember her.
Most Likely to be on Bachelor in Paradise: Jessenia
Jessenia, 27, and a social media marketer from Texas, is a lively girl who we think would thrive on Bachelor in Paradise (if she doesn’t steal James’s heart first). Jessenia is likeable and unproblematic, making for the perfect recipient to find love on Bachelor in Paradise.
Week One Best Dressed: Bri
Bri, a 24-year-old communications manager from San Francisco, stunned the crowd and James in her floor-length, bright green dress. Bri was the first girl James met on night one and introduced herself with a cute message to the bachelor.
Week Two Best Dressed: Chelsea
Chelsea, 29, a runway model from New York, stole the show at the Rose Ceremony in a stunning red, off-the-shoulder dress that made her stand out amongst the other contestants. Chelsea made a great impression on James during week two, and we think she is on the right path to stealing James’ heart.
Current Favs: Tie: Rachael and Abigail
Rachael, a 24-year-old graphic designer from Georgia, arrived in a stunning emerald green dress, wowing the crowd, James, and editor Katie. Rachael was very touched by James’s opening prayer, tearing up when he was done. She said she “didn’t expect to feel like this so soon,” and was happy to go through the unusual experience for the first time with him.
Abigail, the recipient of the First Impression Rose and the first kiss, is Melea’s current favorite. She was bright and kind and seemed enthusiastic that James was so interested in her. When she opened up about her hearing loss, Melea was intrigued and she cannot wait to see if Abigail and James are a perfect match.
