Two Murders a Week
It’s time for students to consider the increasing possibility of an active shooter event. We can’t trivialize the active shooter protocol and drills designed to help us in an emergency situation like we sometimes do for fire and earthquake simulations. We shouldn’t laugh while we stack desks against the classroom door. We shouldn’t joke around with friends while we huddle in one side of the room and practice ‘laying low’ to avoid gunfire through walls and windows. This is something that MUST be taken seriously.
