Sophia M. Peñalba joins the Wildcat staff as Language Editor in hopes of expanding the newspaper to other language communities.  

With a passion for languages, specifically, French and Spanish, Sophia enjoys immersing herself in other cultures, with a particular interest in their customs, literature, music and cuisine. Her summers are spent traveling to different countries to learn more about their culture and their people.   

During her free time, she enjoys volunteering, because she sees the value in supporting and giving back to the community. Her other hobbies include crocheting, playing the piano, reading, blasting music of all genres and discovering new restaurants.
