Toyota has a prevailing presence among car brands in the BOHS parking lot (there are currently 69 Toyotas of various models). Toyotas tend to be a common first car for teens due to their durability and exceptional price, starting at $22,000. Honda comes in as the second most popular among BOHS students with 50 counted, and Ford places third with 34 counted.

Currently, the best-selling car in California is the Tesla Model Y, but on the BOHS campus, Teslas are a rarity, with only five appearing daily in the student lots. (In fact, only 3% of all cars in the lots are electric.) The lack of California's most popular vehicle might be due to inconvenience (in Brea, there are only two Tesla charging stations, versus nine gas stations), and cost (even the lowest-end Tesla, the Model 3, starts at $38,990).
