Currently at BOHS, the study of African American history is limited to a few pages in eleventh grade U.S. history textbooks and a few reading selections in AP Language and Composition and AP Literature. By adding College Board's latest course -- AP African American Studies -- BOHS can correct a curriculum blind spot and be at the forefront of diversity in education in Orange County.
